Tesla CEO Elon Musk is one of the more polarizing figures in modern business. However, the dark side of that success is a cult of personality that leads many to ignore his character flaws. The electric vehicle focused site Electrek.co recently reported on an internal company email that Musk sent out to employees in response to safety reports at Tesla’s Fremont, Calif. assembly plant. Rather than nurturing a strong organization, Musk has only nurtured the belief that he is the only person that fix whatever ails his company. This sort of response is about creating the impression that he will do anything for his team.
