Deputy President legal adviser Ananiah Mwaboza has said he will pick his running mate for the Mombasa top seat from upcountry. I suggest you consult among yourselves and give me an individual from upcountry to be my running mate,” Mwaboza said. Mwaboza’s candidature was endorsed overwhelmingly by Jubilee leaders opposed to businessman Suleiman Shahbal, also battling to get the Jubilee ticket. Those present during the meeting were Coast Jubilee coordinator and financier Faridh Swaleh, Mvita MP hopeful Mohamed Tenge and Chama cha Uzalendo chairman Maur Bwanamaka. He will seek to remove Governor Hassan Joho on the Jubilee ticket.
