NDC committee submits report on alleged vote buying in Ayawaso East primaries

Speaking to journalists after the submission, committee member Inusah Fuseini declined to disclose details of the findings, stressing that the report now belongs to the party’s leadership. Meanwhile, sources at the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) have confirmed to 3News that one of the candidates, Baba Jamal, who is at the centre of the allegations, has been invited for questioning. Among the allegations is that Baba Jamal distributed cash, television sets and other items to delegates in an attempt to secure their votes. However, constituency executives in Ayawaso East have pushed back against calls for annulment, insisting the election outcome should stand.
