NEC Releases First Preliminary Results -


In a nationwide radio broadcast from the NEC headquarters Thursday, Chairman Jerome Korkoya said the results are provisional from all the 15 counties and subject to the announcement of the official final results. According to Korkoya, the results reflect those of the first top three presidential candidates starting from Bomi County with a total of 158 polling center but with 32 polling places reporting. The Chairman said there are 133 polling places in Gbarpolu County where 26 reported. UP got 2768 votes, representing 37.4 percent and CDC got 3,078 votes accounting for 41.6 percent. In Grand Cape Mount County, UP got 2,158 votes, representing 37.5 percent and CDC 2,663 votes, accounting for 46.4 percent, he stated.
