After undergoing mastectomy and other surgical procedures to the breast, survivors are faced with the need for prosthesis, which are often very expensive and uncomfortable. “Beneficiaries have expressed delight at the comfort they experienced since they received our breast prosthesis,” Akoni said. The lightweight and adjustable design of the knockers are a sharp contrast to the heaviness and discomfort associated with traditional breast prosthesis, she enthused.
