May 7, 2021 by Mihi Perera No CommentsThe National Medicines Regulatory Authority today granted approval for the emergency use of the Pfizer vaccine in Sri Lanka. The State Minister for Covid Control Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle stated that a consignment of 05 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine is to be imported to Sri Lanka. Currently, the only vaccines being administered to Sri Lankan locals are the AstraZeneca vaccine and the Sputnik vaccine while the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine has been administered to Chinese nationals in Sri Lanka.
