NONE of the 1,100 migrants who have crossed the Channel in the past seven weeks have been deported

None of the 1,100 migrants who have arrived in Britain illegally by boat over the last seven weeks have been deported - despite persistent pledges from Priti Patel. The Home Secretary consistently vowed to eradicate crossings and return those who enter the country, but just 155 of nearly 4,000 migrants have been sent back since January last year. Those plans included 'returning migrant boats at sea back to France when possible' and 'increased deployment of forces on the French coast'. Record numbers of illegals have poured into the UK on flimsy boats this year, with 2,127 arriving since January. In another damning indictment on the Government, 1,756 of those have arrived since lockdown was announced in March.
