NSA partners ActionAid Nigeria on counterterrorism


The National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, is partnering the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund and ActionAid Nigeria on the localisation of the policy framework and National Action Plan for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism. The Head, Strategic Communications, Counter-Terrorism Centre, Office of the National Security Adviser, Ozoya Imohimi, disclosed this in a statement titled, ‘ONSA, GCERF, ActionAid Nigeria hold two-day National Conference on localisation of policy framework and National Action Plan for PCVE in Nigeria’. According to Imohimi, the overall objectives of the conference were to provide a platform for multi-stakeholder learning and the development of recommendations, using the experience of a range of national, state-level and civil society practitioners and operationalising the PCVE policy framework in Nigeria.
