The book, titled “Gender Mainstreaming in Politics, Administration and Development in South Asia”, is the outcome of an international conference held in 2017 on the said topic at NSU, says a press release. The book approaches gender mainstreaming from policy-and-governance perspective and explore government initiatives to promote gender mainstreaming, challenges and results of those initiatives. Discussants of the program shed the light upon the diverse topics and broad range of issues related to gender mainstreaming that the book covered. Prof Atiqul Islam, vice-chancellor of North South University, chaired the event.
