Mashrafe, captain of Bangladesh national ODI cricket team, is running for office from Narail 2 constituency – which comprises Lohagara and parts of Narail sadar – in the 11th general election due on Sunday. The famed cricketer also campaigned for himself in several unions under Lohagara upazila on Tuesday. Later in the afternoon, he addressed a mass rally organized in the compounds of Dighaliya High School, before going back to Narail sadar to attend a meeting. Many of Mashrafe’s campaigners have travelled to Narail from Bogra, Patuakhali, Pirojpur, Khulna and Gopalganj.
