North Zone finished the penultimate day with 186-5 in their second innings, leading by 62 runs with only five wickets remaining. Openers Rony Talukdar and Imrul Kayes perished within 10 overs but Mominul and Yasir Ali continued the onslaught scoring almost run-a-ball. Yasir, who has been in good form with the bat, reached his century in 110 balls and East got past the 250-run mark in just 43 overs. East skipper Mominul declared the innings giving his bowlers a day and a half to bundle out the opponents and the Nayeem-led attack needed just 42.2 overs to do so.
