So along comes Donald Trump who decided to make immigration a primary focus of his presidential campaign. In this reasoning, Canada and Australia with their merit-based immigration systems would be deemed racist. As troubling as the current situation is with our broken immigration and welfare systems, it can get much, much worse. He should shut down the southern border and shut down the government until we actually solve fix our immigration system.
