A press release from the Denmark embassy said, Winther conveyed to Hamid his intention to continue to build on Denmark’s longstanding relationship with Bangladesh through partnerships on development, foreign policy and trade. He also recalled how the friendship between the countries started soon after Bangladesh’s independence and has grown significantly ever since. “We look forward for deepening the bond of friendship between our nations during my stay in Bangladesh,” he said. Winther arrived in Bangladesh on September 7. He has also worked as an associate professor at Copenhagen University and at Copenhagen Business School.
