NEW DELHI: The union government has decided to discontinue central allocation of antiviral drug Remdesivir that is used to treat Covid-19 to states. According to a statement from the ministry of chemicals and fertilizers on Saturday, the decision has been taken as Remdesivir production has been ramped up. “Now the country has enough #Remdesivir as the supply is much more than the demand. So we have decided to DISCONTINUE the Central Allocation of Remdesivir to States," the minister said in his tweet on Saturday.
