The Trump administration plans to fully implement longstanding legislation that would allow U.S. nationals to lodge claims against foreign companies that do business in and with Cuba, a senior U.S. official said. The official on Tuesday said the U.S. would announce its intention to implement a key part of the 1996 Helms-Burton Act, known as Title III, which allows U.S. nationals whose property was seized by the Castro regime in Cuba after 1959 to sue for damages in the U.S. court system.
