A nurse gave the mum, from West Bromwich, West Mids., a photo of her infant son, but she couldn't cuddle with him because she was infected with Covid-19. Her grieving mum Elizabeth, from Erdington, told BirminghamLive: "She didn't get to meet her baby and hug him. But Sarah's condition worsened soon after and her mum drove her to Birmingham Women's Hospital, where Sarah was admitted alone due to coronavirus restrictions. Her family said she told them she had not yet seen her baby or been able to hold him because he was taken away due to her suspected coronavirus. Mum Elizabeth was by Sarah's side when her ventilator was turned off on May 12, a month after she gave birth.
