Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu is responding well to medication after being admitted after testing positive for Covid-19. Sources have told the Star that doctors say she is recovering well and is not in any foreseeable danger. In March, Ngilu publicly received the Covid-19 vaccine which she said was inspired by President Uhuru Kenyatta doing so. Ngilu said she had been apprehensive about receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine until the President got the jab. I got the inspiration to get vaccinated after the President did the same,” Ngilu said then.
