58 years after Independence from the United Kingdom on October 1, 1960, the immediate past national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie Oyegun has identified multiculturalism, inconsistency of leadership, lack of ethics, corruption and love as the major challenges still confronting the country. Oyegun who spoke in Benin maintained that at 58, Nigerians have indeed dined well but have however not optimized the abundant natural resources to develop the country. Oyegun said: “Nigeria at 58, we have done well as a nation. “There are challenges of multiculturalism, inconsistency of leadership, lack of ethics, corruption and love. Corruption is abysmally responsible for our lack of progress.”
