The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), has empowered three hundred people in Orumba North and South Local Government Areas of Anambra state. “They provided the people with vocational skill training and empowered the youths, men and women having met with the criteria for the empowerment. The Managing Director of the Nigeria Port Authority, Mrs Hadiza Bala Usman, represented by the Senior Manager, Corporate and Strategic Communication, Nigerian Ports Authority, Lagos, Mrs Eunice Mba, earlier charged them to be productive with those equipment reassuring them of more empowerment in the future if this opportunity is well utilized. In an opening remark at Orumba North empowerment venue, Ufuma, the Transition Chairman, Orumba North council area, Hon. On his part, an indigene of Akpu community, Mr Nkem Onuigbo said he was able to attract the project for his people due to the good relationship he has with the Nigerian Ports Authority.
