No price increase for your train ride to the airport

SALAK TINGGI: Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) will not increase its train fares anytime soon as the new rate was only introduced in December last year. The company’s chief executive officer Noormah Mohd Noor said the newly introduced RM55 fare will remain. “The current fare will stay for now until such time the market is ready for another revision,” she told reporters after the unveiling of new Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Transit Train today. In December 2015, ERL announced the new fare of RM55 for a one-way trip between KL Sentral and KLIA or Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2). The company was authorised to increase the rate to RM64 from the previous RM35 but instead chose to fix the rate at a discounted RM55.
