The yellow warning is in force for 24 hours from midnight tonight until midnight on Thursday (December 21). It covers Scotland, Northern Ireland, North Wales the north of England, the Midlands and parts of East Anglia. The entire of Norfolk is included and forecasters are also predicting wind speeds of more than 40mph, reaching 50mph in some areas.
