The driver of the Nyamagwa Girls High School bus that killed four students pleaded not guilty during his court appearance on Monday. The Friday accident occurred on Kisii-Itumbe-Igare road while the students returned to school from a road trip they took to celebrate the purchase of the bus. Kituma, an Associated Motors driver, is alleged to have been speeding when the overloaded vehicle overturned while negotiating a sharp corner. Three years ago, a bus belonging to Rioma Secondary School overturned in the same area, killing nine students and four teacher.
