Speaking to the Daily Nation on Monday, Mr Ranguma told the senator to prepare to face party members in a free, fair and democratic process “and then jump ship to undemocratic parties”. They are worried because they are not used to clean competition,” said Mr Ranguma. Prof Nyong’o has in the past told Mr Ranguma to brace for a tough contest, also expected to feature Deputy Governor Ruth Odinga. The county boss has been involved in incessant exchanges with Prof Nyong’o over his leadership style and management of Kisumu County resources.
