The incident occurred after the tyre of a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number GT 7012-24 burst, causing the vehicle to somersault. In a Facebook post on February 13, 2026, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said personnel from the Peki Fire Station, led by ADO I Godwin Gbedemah, swiftly responded to the accident and have rescued the trapped victims.
