One of Britain's biggest Indian dating sites has been accused of reinforcing social prejudices with an algorithm that discriminates by caste. But it has caused controversy by insisting that users state their caste or 'sub-community' on their profile. The five tier Indian caste system 1) Brahmin The elite in the caste system who make up the smallest part of the Indian population. The caste system is most commonly associated with Hinduism but it also exists in both Muslim and Sikh communities as well. Many British Asians feel that dating websites are right to inquire about social divisions because of family concerns.
