Senior Policy Director John Erath authored an op-ed in Just Security arguing that ensuring that the interests of Ukraine and its government take precedence at the negotiating table will provide the best prospect for an enduring peace. “The war in Ukraine, or rather Russia’s unjustified attack on Ukraine, has been going on for over one month now, and shows no sign of a quick or easy conclusion. Russia’s irresponsible nuclear threats add to the urgency of finding a path toward peace. A lasting solution requires keeping the best interests of the Ukrainian people in mind, something that could take many more months or longer to accomplish.
