Overall Fed Temporary Liquidity Ebbed on Thursday to $165.5 Billion


The overall amount of temporary liquidity provided to financial markets by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York continued to decline on Friday. The Fed executed a $42.75 billion weekend repurchase agreement operation, or repo, with eligible banks. Because $46.75 billion in repos were expiring, the overall amount of outstanding repos ticked down by $4 billion to $165.5 billion.
