Some members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State, on Sunday, organised a special one-year remembrance prayer for the late former governor of the state, Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi. Speaking on behalf of the organisers of the programme, former Chairman of Ibadan South-East Local Government, Alhaji Abass Bolaji Nojeemdeen, said the prayer was put together to honour the late former governor being a son of Ibadan South-East Local Government. “Our leaders from the local government felt there should be a special prayer for former governor Ajimobi and that is the reason this prayer was organised as a mark of honour for what he was able to do for the development of Oyo State and also to pray for the repose of his soul. “Like the situation we have now in Oyo State, particularly in Ibadan, he was somebody who would have risen to the occasion.
