Olaide Oyelude, KatsinaA former Katsina State governor, Ibrahim Sheu-Shema, on Sunday, led some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state to the palace of the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumuni Usman. Sources said the former governor and his entourage were on a condolence visit to the emir over the death of the old Kaduna State governor, Alhaji Lawal Kaita, who passed away on Tuesday and was buried the following day. The late governor was said to be a close associate of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, now a PDP chieftain. The former governor and the other PDP chieftains in the state including the party chairman, Salisu Majigiri, arrived at the Emir’s palace where they were happily received. Party sources revealed that the former governor and his entourage had earlier in the day visited the Katsina residence of the late governor before visiting the emir’s palace.
