But in his recent statement, Duterte said he was reconsidering his earlier decision not to buy weapons from the United States. The decision of the President for the Philippine military to go back to US-made weapons is a welcome decision. The unmanned surveillance drone is considered as big boost to military intelligence capability of the Philippines amid the reported construction-spree of China in the disputed South China Sea.
