Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah has held a phone call with his Lebanese counterpart Nawaf Salam to discuss rising tensions in the region and their implications for regional security. According to a statement from the Libyan government, the two leaders reviewed the latest developments in the Middle East and their potential impact on stability. Dbeibah reaffirmed Libya’s support for Lebanon’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, stressing the importance of stability in Arab countries. For his part, Salam thanked Libya for its supportive stance and briefed Dbeibah on the latest political and security developments in Lebanon. He emphasised the importance of Arab coordination at what he described as a sensitive stage, calling for joint efforts to prevent further regional escalation while preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
