Share:Legal experts to meet for advice if legislation is challenged in SCIslamabad - Prime Minister Imran Khan directed party leadership to be more active and vigilant to counter the opposition propaganda against EVM which has now been adopted through legislation by joint session of the Parliament. The prime minister made these remarks while chairing meeting of the PTI political committee at the PM office. The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Hammad Azhar, Asad Umar and Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary. The committee said the government wanted to give space to the opposition in the joint session but it misused the friendly atmosphere created by the speaker which later turned into uproar. The political meeting decided to counter opposition criticism against legislation on all fronts and agreed to hold a legal experts meeting which will give advice if the legislation is challenged in the superior judiciary.
