He paid homage and recalled the struggles faced by those displaced from their homes. In a tweet, the Prime Minister expressed, “Today’s ‘Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas’ is an occasion to respectfully remember those whose lives were sacrificed during the division of our nation. This day also reminds us of the hardships and challenges endured by those compelled to bear the pain of displacement. The country had to pay a heavy price for this and many people are still facing the brunt of this horror.
