Mr Anutin also dismissed claims that he avoided fieldwork, citing his visits to flood-hit areas and border regions to assess situations firsthand. The prime minister also insisted that amending the constitution remains a priority, even if it was not explicitly listed in the policy statement. He said the government had been given a mandate from the public following the Feb 8 referendum which showed strong public support for rewriting the charter.
