THE Philippine market rallied but finished the week flat as investors took in the country's inflation rate for the month of May. The market opened at 6,789.03 and reached an intraday low of 6,761.91 and a day high of 6,810.76. Managing Director Luis Limlingan said the local bourse was only minimally changed as investors digested the latest inflation rate data. The Philippine Statistics Authority on Friday reported that the country's inflation rate remained at 4.5 percent for the third straight month in May amid the mixed movement in commodity groups. Meanwhile, foreigners were buyers as the local market saw a net foreign buying of P1.07 billion on Friday.
