The onset of the pandemic has provided the platform and the avenue for this development to be hastened and adopted. There is a huge debate about flexible learning, something which I already addressed in a previous piece in this space. Thus, the delivery of academic knowledge is now seen in the context of investments, balance sheets and financial bottom lines. These practices are actually constructive in advancing the much-touted university-industry partnerships and can only but benefit the university in the long run. Education is such an important human endeavor to be left for computers to decide.
