PSG and Manchester City's financial power meant they were linked with moves for Messi earlier this season. The PSG chief refused to confirm whether discussions had been held with Messi over a switch to Paris. He added: "All the great players want to come to PSG and I say this to make things clear, not to answer about Messi." The Paris star made a world-record move from Barcelona in 2017 but has been linked with a return to Spain. Real Madrid and Liverpool are among the clubs linked with the World Cup winner but Al-Khelaifi is confident with how things are progressing.
