The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the East Midlands from around 3pm to 6pm this afternoon. Homes and businesses are also at risk of being flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds. Dry and sunny conditions will return on Tuesday for most areas in the UK, although cloudy skies are forecast across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
