Pakistan, Egypt agree to promote trade, economic cooperation
FM Qureshi, his Egyptian counterpart meet on the sidelines of UNGAForeign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Hassan Shoukry agreed to promote trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. The two ministers discussed bilateral relations and efforts for strengthening meaningful cooperation in a number of fields using the already existing mechanisms. Qureshi advises US not to lose ‘old friends’ despite new priorities in South AsiaForeign Minister Qureshi expressed Pakistan’s desire for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation with Egypt in diverse fields. The Egyptian foreign minister underlined that his country greatly valued its relations with Pakistan. He congratulated Foreign Minister Qureshi on assuming the office of the Foreign Minister of Pakistan and expressed his keen desire to work with him for further enhancing the existing cooperation and friendship between Pakistan and Egypt.
