ISLAMABAD Somalia’s Interior Minister Ali Yusuf met with Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi during his official visit to Pakistan, where both sides agreed to adopt a joint strategy to counter terrorism and extremism. Minister Mohsin Naqvi welcomed the Somali interior minister upon his arrival at the Ministry of Interior, where discussions were held on bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Somalia. The Somali interior minister expressed his commitment to benefiting from Pakistan’s experience in combating terrorism and maintaining internal security. In response, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi assured Somalia of Pakistan’s full support, particularly in the fields of policing and counterterrorism. On the occasion, the Somali interior minister conveyed a special message from the Prime Minister of Somalia to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and formally invited Mohsin Naqvi to visit Somalia.
