The Ministry of National Health Services (NHS) said that it is vigilant about the emergence of the new variant in Pakistan. Pakistan followed suit shortly after and on Monday the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) extended the suspension of UK arrivals for another week. Britain’s chief scientific adviser Patrick Vallance also said Covid-19 vaccines appeared to be adequate in generating an immune response to the variant of the coronavirus.
