Both Indonesia's Defence Ministry and Pakistan's military confirmed the meeting between Indonesian Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Pakistan's Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu. Jakarta has also considered buying China's J-10 fighter jets and is in talks to purchase U.S.-made F-15EX jets.
