Palace: Govt shortens quarantine period for 'fully vaccinated' inbound travelers

AFP PHOTOTHE Philippine government has shortened by a week the recommended quarantine period for inbound travelers who are "fully vaccinated" against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), Malacañang said Friday. "All inbound fully vaccinated individuals shall be required to undergo a seven-day facility-based quarantine upon arrival," Roque said in a statement. Roque, who is also the spokesman of the IATF, said that a fully vaccinated individual "must carry his or her vaccination card, which must be verified prior to departure." The Palace official said the BOQ was also directed to strictly monitor symptoms of individuals in quarantine facilities for seven days. "RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) test shall only be done when the individual manifests Covid-19 symptoms within the 7-day quarantine," Roque said.
