Pan-dem lawmakers say they will abide by their supporters’ decision of a simple majority in the poll deciding their future in the Legislative Council. The Democratic Party, Civic Party, along with lawmaker Claudia Mo Man-ching and Fernando Cheung Chiu-hung pledged to follow poll results regarding their stay in the council in the extended term. The poll commissioned by Hong Kong Public Opinion Research Institute will begin September 21 and sample the views of 2,000.
