Pape Gueye Aberdeen racism complaint comes to nothing as UEFA close probe into PAOK fans allegation

PAOK are off the hook with UEFA over claims Aberdeen striker Pape Habib Gueye was racially abused by their fans. Furious Dons chiefs had made an official complaint to the match delegate after November’s 2-2 Europa Conference League draw in Thessaloniki. Speaking after the match, Dons goalscorer McGrath said Gueye, a summer signing from Belgians KV Kortrijk, was “very upset”. But the Greek Super League club hit back saying: "There has never been racist behaviour in Toumba Stadium, which would not be tolerated anyway. Instead, the defiant behaviour of the Aberdeen substitutes in their equaliser was evident and to their credit the fans did not react at all."
