GANDHINAGAR: Reacting to the 'one nation, one election' proposal, the Gujarat BJP has said it is necessary and parties must not "indulge in politics over a matter of national interest".The opposition Congress , however, called it a political gimmick. "I am confident all political parties of the country will adopt a positive stance on the proposal. When all parties want to work in the interest of the country, they should consider the national interest instead of indulging in politics over the proposal, and must support the proposal," state BJP president C R Paatil said. Why did the Modi government not introduce such a proposal in the past nine years. This is nothing but a gimmick," Gohil said.
