Electoral commission chairman Wafula Chebukati on Friday said in a statement that he has directed political parties to conduct their party primaries between April 13 to April 26 about two months from now. The new election timetable now requires parties to submit membership registers to the poll agency between March 9 and March 19. The electoral commission has set aside 10 days from May 30 for settlement of disputes arising from party primaries. Jubilee Party has allowed candidates to express interests in contesting various positions but the party is yet to set fees for those seeking the party’s ticket.
