Pats lose 5-1 to Brandon in first game after trades

The new-look Regina Pats suffered their third straight loss on Friday night, dropping a 5-1 decision to the Brandon Wheat Kings before 3,596 fans at Westoba Place. The three players acquired in those deals — Brett Clayton, Jadon Joseph and Ty Kolle — made their Pats’ debuts versus Brandon. The Pats went 1-for-6 on the power play. That’s followed by the Pats’ third game in three days on Sunday (4 p.m.) against the Medicine Hat Tigers. However, Austin Pratt is getting a ‘A’ to replace Henry, joining Liam Schioler and Brady Pouteau as alternate captains.
