He made the remarks on February 24, 2026, at the launch of the 2026 Meteorological Awareness Month and the presentation of the 2026 Seasonal Forecast for Southern Ghana. “Let me pass a message to the Civil Aviation Authority. Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, do the needful and comply with Parliament's legislation and pay the money to GMet,” he stated. Sam George commended GMet for attaining ISO 9001:2015 certification, describing it as a significant step toward improving service delivery and operational standards. He further encouraged close collaboration with the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and continuous monitoring of official updates from GMet throughout the season.
