Crime & Punishment of Tuesday, 27 January 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Central East Regional Police Command has arrested a 42-year-old man, Alex Darko, over a viral video in which he allegedly published false information about the Ghana Police Service. The police further stated that during investigations, the suspect admitted that he was the one seen in the viral video. "During investigations, suspect Alex Darko admitted to being the one seen in the viral video and that he personally recorded it," the statement said. The Central East Regional Police Command also cautioned the public against making unverified and inflammatory statements capable of undermining public confidence in security institutions. “The Central East Regional Police Command wishes to caution the public against any such unfortunate statements,” the statement added.
